The offense continues to stumble. We have scored only two runs in the past two games. I’m not filled with great confidence by what I’ve seen. It could get even worse without J.T. and Rhys. We were only able to score one run on four hits. The only hits came from Alec Bohm, Bryce Harper, Andrew McCutchen, and Didi Gregorius.
Alec Bohm was your source of run support as he went 1-2 with a solo home run and a walk. In the past nine games, he’s averaging .452, with one home run, nine RBI’s and two walks. He’s been very reliable during Realmuto and Harper’s cold streak. We’ll need more from the rest of the team in the final fifteen games.

Eflin did not have a good game. For whatever reason, he couldn’t get it going. To say he was disappointing would be an understatement. With Howard injured, you can’t afford an Eflin slip-up. In four innings, he allowed four runs on eight hits, with two walks and four strikeouts. He’s going to have to pick it up for his next start.
It’s almost fitting that the bullpen imploded before the final fifteen games of the season. It has not been a good season from Ranger Suarez. In nine innings of work this season, he has allowed nine runs on ten hits, with four walks and one strikeout. In this game alone, he allowed four runs on four hits, with one walk and one strikeout.
